Marketing Manager

Environmental Dynamics International (EDI) seeks a qualified Marketing Manager at the global headquarters of EDI in Columbia, MO.  Reporting to the General Manager, the Marketing Manager will plan and direct EDI’s global marketing policies and programs, determining the demand for aeration products and services offered by EDI and its competitors for biological wastewater treatment and identifying potential customers. Other duties include: Develop pricing strategies with the goal of maximizing EDI’s profits or share of the market while ensuring customer satisfaction by getting customer feedback through Voice of Customer surveys. Oversee product development or monitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services. Manage the company’s Branding, Advertising, Content Management, Demand and Lead Generation through Digital Marketing including social media and Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Event Marketing, Promotional Material, Internal Communication, Public Relations, Rep Services, and Marketing Analytics and Research activities.


The Marketing Manager will create and execute a strategic growth program for the aeration and aftermarket parts business of EDI which will include feature, benefit, and price benchmarking with similar competitor products; conduct price elasticity analysis to develop pricing strategies with the goal to maximize gross margin; perform customer buying pattern and product movement analysis to grow repeat purchase; and develop an e-commerce site and list parts on third-party marketplace platforms (Amazon, USA Bluebook etc.). The Marketing Manager will use, plan, and manage tools, workflow automations, and reports in HubSpot Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Software used by EDI.


The Marketing Manager will work with the executive team to identify, evaluate, and develop annual marketing strategy and budget specific to EDI’s technologies, service divisions, and market characteristics of its global territories based on the company’s growth and return on investment (ROI) objectives. The Marketing Manager has overall responsibility for mobilizing resources to achieve key performance indicators throughout the functional areas of the marketing department. He will have 2 direct reports.


This Marketing Manager position requires a four-year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing, or foreign degree equivalent; and 3 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate combined experience in marketing, brand management, and product management.  Experience must include product and customer analysis (2 years), forecasting (2 years), strategy formulation and budgeting (1 year), price benchmarking and elasticity analysis (1 year), and market research and analytics (1 year).  In addition, the applicant must have each of the following experiences:


  • 2 years working with digital marketing including social media, content marketing, and SEO with hands on Google Analytics and Google Ads experience.
  • 1 year working with an e-commerce site.
  • 1 year working with CRM software and lead management.
  • 1 year working with multinational brands or products sold to customers across multiple countries.
