Greg Roppelt

Regional Sales Manager

Since 2017, Greg Roppelt has been on our sales team helping customers receive our Aeration for Life promise. We’re excited to hear from our Northeastern US Sales Manager!

Q: You started out working with EDI. How long have you been working with them now?

A: I started with EDI February 1st, 2017… so over 8 years now.

Q: How did you get to the position you are in now? Have you always been in sales?

A: I was hired on as the Western US Regional Sales Manager when I started with EDI. Effective January 1, 2025 my responsibilities have changed and I am now the EDI RSM for the Northeastern US.

Q: What is your favorite part about EDI to talk about and why?

A: There are a number of things I like to talk to people about regarding EDI. The quality of product EDI, I feel, is second to none. EDI has always been innovative – we are always looking to improve the products we have and we are a product leader in some regards. The loyalty that employees have such as Mike Korman, Erika McGuinn, Scott Hentges, Lynn Douglas, Joey Green, Les Haywood, April Heywood and many others… It is not something that you see now-a-days. Despite some tough times in recent years, the mom-and-pop business feel is coming back to the company. (This is) A company that cares about its people.

Q: What do you wish others in the wastewater industry understood that isn’t talked about enough?

A: I am a big believer in system maintenance, but the industry seems to be content with the fact that given the limited resources that most facilities have, there are no options for system maintenance – especially when it comes to disc diffusers. The time and effort to maintain a disc system is significant and the alternative that the MiniPanel diffuser offers is very significant. Our tube diffusers offer facilities a light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to simple and easy maintenance.

Q: What project or technology have you worked on or completed recently that you’re most proud of and want to mention here?

A: The MiniPanel tube diffuser is something I promote significantly because of the benefits it offers. The maintenance cost savings are significant for facilities and given the fact that most facilities are understaffed, the MiniPanel diffuser gives the maintenance staff at a plant a fighting chance to maintain aeration systems.  The installation cost savings and the potential operating cost savings of the diffuser gives plants options that were not available when disc diffusers dominated the market.

OUR TEAM IS ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU
